Sin embargo, la llegada a la ciudad de una ni\u00f1a de clase alta llamada Miranda, cuya belleza no les dejar\u00e1 indiferentes, lo trastocar\u00e1 todo. Juntos transitar\u00e1n ese intrincado paso de la ni\u00f1ez a la adolescencia, un camino de aprendizaje y revelaciones, y se embarcar\u00e1n, casi sin propon\u00e9rselo, en una aventura que podr\u00eda llevarlos a conocer la verdad detr\u00e1s de las desapariciones. Un pacto de amistad los guiar\u00e1 en un verano imborrable, un tiempo de metamorfosis que marcar\u00e1 el inicio de muchas cosas, y tambi\u00e9n el final de su infancia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Opini\u00f3n Quelibroleo:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La novela est\u00e1 ambientada en Carnival Falls, en Estados Unidos. Sam Jackson tiene doce a\u00f1os y vive con otros ni\u00f1os en una granja de acogida, desde que su madre muri\u00f3 en un accidente cuando ten\u00eda un a\u00f1o. Sam relata sus vivencias durante el verano de 1985, las visitas a la casa de los Meyer para leerle a Joseph, las estrictas normas de su hogar de acogida y sobre todo sus salidas en bicicleta al bosque con su inseparable amigo Billy. Ese verano Sam y Billy entablar\u00e1n amistad con Miranda, una ni\u00f1a de familia acomodada, reci\u00e9n llegada a la ciudad, y cuya belleza har\u00e1 tambalear sus corazones. Pero tambi\u00e9n algunas sombras se ciernen sobre Sam, como el hecho de que entre sus compa\u00f1eros de la granja haya alguien que le quiera dificultar inexplicablemente la existencia, o cierta aureola de misterio que envuelve la muerte de su madre.<\/p>\n<p>A medida que pasan las p\u00e1ginas los tres amigos vivir\u00e1n apasionantes aventuras y tambi\u00e9n desentra\u00f1ar\u00e1n algunos misterios. Al estar narrado por Sam, en primera persona, los personajes se nos hacen entra\u00f1ables y cercanos, y nos sumergimos de lleno en los pensamientos y sentimientos de esa edad.<\/p>\n<p>El libro consta de cuatro partes en que pasado (1985) y presente (2010) se alternan y complementan. El t\u00edtulo, que hace referencia a un pantano que hay en el bosque de Carnival Falls, nos recuerda tambi\u00e9n la metamorfosis que sufren las mariposas, como paralelismo a ese cambio ni\u00f1o-adolescente que representar\u00e1 el verano de 1985 para los protagonistas.<\/p>\n<p>La novela, que excepto por alguna escena podr\u00eda considerarse juvenil, a\u00fana aventura e intriga por igual y mantiene la atenci\u00f3n del lector.
